I had a really great stay at this small hotel. The location was unbeatable - ease of access to an official residence. Truly enjoyed the rooms, they were perfect and beautiful with comfortable bed.

Their staff were not very friendly.

The rooms with wardrobes and tea making facilities and balcony. Paid US$ 37. The location was super, staff was courteous.

We thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of the a double room available with comfortable bed, balcony. There were an electric kettle and a refrigerator in the room too. Its location relatively close to a large urban plaza was unbeatable and super.

We stayed in a good value for money room that had climate control, an individual safe, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The local staff were especially helpful and professional.

The staff - some of them were a bit rude.

it's located close to many sites in the city, good public transport connections, the staff is helpful

the noise from Gran Via was unbelievable all night long. As it was impossible to sleep we had to change hotel after the first night. If you plan to sleep during the night on weekend, this isn't a good choice. Also the room had a bad smell of smoke.

Small but comfortable. You do get some street noise but it's not too bad with shutters down.

There is no airconditioning even though they put a "control pad" on the wall, there is no vent in the room. I don't see the point in pretending to have a/c when they clearly do not.

How clean it was and new, comfortable bathroom.

Soundproof could be better. It was easy to hear what is happening in the coridor, but cleanness and location compensate it. :-)

my stay at this central madrid accommodation exceeded my expectations. the location was perfect, allowing me to easily explore the city. the room was clean and modern, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. overall, a positive experience at Hostal Lauria!

I never ever write hotel reviews but I really wanted to come on here and write a few nice words about the Lauria. I stay in lots of budget city centre hotels and am often very underwhelmed but this place is different! It's clean, the rooms are bright and comfortable and the location is ace!!! Also this was the cheapest hotel I found byt far!! Two days later I went to a family wedding and stayed at a 5 star hotel but actually didn't like it as much. My only other comment is that the hotel is on a busy road and so I particularly asked for a room at the back of the hotel and this was peaceful and quiet.

The staff were marvellous and the location was great. Room and bathroom were a decent size for the price. Good water pressure and heating. The hotel is central and on a really busy street but the windows have excellent soundproofing so the noise is no problem at all.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I was really happy with it and thought it was excellent value.
